Gostaria de agradecer, em especial, ao Deputado Rollemberg, à artista Andrea Rosenfeld, às minhas amigas Ana Claro, Laura Madeira, Myla Crosara, Júnia Drummond, Denise Pirani (cunhadinha), Mariângela Marques e Stela Marques que mostraram a cara ou as palavras e o que vieram fazer diferença na vida de um amigo!

Official inauguration of "The Brazilian Cerrado's art" by the Federal Congressman Rodrigo Rollemberg

My political career has always been marked by combating organized groups who forge documents for illegally become owners by public land or third parties (grilagem), promoting tourism and social projects in defense of the more poor people's.
However, one of the mine most important struggles is the environmental protection, including the preservation of the biome of the Brazilian Cerrado as a heritage. The Brazilian Cerrado and its rich biodiversity is too extremely important for all humanity.
I have been invited by Niro to officially inaugurate the blog "the Brazilian Cerrado's art", a project aimed at sustainable exploitation of cerrado through art. This project has a social character to the extent that discloses the work of craftsmen of Cerrado, especially the neediest and at the same time, it is a social network by joining and promoting craftsmen from around the world!
I declare officially inaugurated "The Brazilian Cerrado's art"!

Minha carreira política sempre foi marcada pelo combate à grilagem de terras, promoção do turismo e projetos sociais em favor da população brasileira menos favorecida.
Porém, uma de minhas mais importantes lutas é pela preservação do meio-ambiente, entre elas a preservação do bioma do Cerrado como um patrimônio brasileiro. Muito mais do que brasileiro, o Cerrado e sua rica biodiversidade é de extrema importância para toda a humanidade.
Fui convidado pelo Niro para inaugurar oficialmente o blog "The Brazilian Cerrado's Art", um projeto que defende a exploração sustentável do Cerrado através da arte. Esse projeto tem um caráter social na medida em que divulga o trabalho dos artesãos do cerrado, especialmente os mais carentes e, ao mesmo tempo, é uma rede social unindo e promovendo artesãos de todo o mundo!
Declaro inaugurado oficialmente o "The Brazilian Cerrado's Art"!

A tribute to Federal Congressman Rodrigo Rollemberg

"The Brazilian Cerrado's Art" is a independent blog. However I would like to pay tribute to a supporter of Cerrado Biome: the Federal Congressman Rodrigo Rollemberg!


In this photo he appears surrounded by Kraô indigenous tribe children. The Indians Kraôs living in the Brazilian Cerrado with 16 villages of varying sizes, totaling a population of approximately 2,000 individuals.

Some of the actions performed by the Federal Congressman Rodrigo Rollember for the Cerrado biome protection can be seen on the links below, in Portuguese!

After 14 years of silence, Congress can analyze that makes the Cerrado and the Brazilian national heritage sites in the Constitution!

During the seminar which discussed the sustainable development of "Bacia do Alto de Tocantins", Rollemberg asked for approval of proposition which enshrines the Cerrado as national heritage sites in the Constitution!

Rollemberg either approve the PEC of Cerrado!

In an interview to program "Palavra Aberta - 09/16/2008", Rollemberg explains the importance of adopting the proposed amendment to the Constitution (PEC) 115/95 which makes the Brazilian Cerrado a national heritage. If the level of devastation not decrease, the Cerrado may no longer exist in only 40 years.

Rollemberg participates in demonstration by preserving the Cerrado. In the National day of Cerrado, non-governmental organizations have made a protest by asking a approval of the SGP 115/95 includes the Cerrado and caatinga as national heritages.
